Cagubatan Spring Enchanted Eels, also Kagubatan, are located in Tadian, Mountain Province. The eels thriving in the Cagubatan spring are conceived to be sacred and thus could not be eaten, they are believed to maintain the continuous flow of water to irrigate the rice fields.

The story of the enchanted eel in Cagubatan, Tadian, Mountain Province is published in the books of Guinness.

The enchanted eels live in a water spring frequently visited by tourist. It is enchanted so people within the community never had the nerve to catch them for food.

The eels are selective as to whom they show themselves. Some tourists get disgusted for not being able see the eel. The eels when it is their pleasure to show off to tourists would come out and play around as tamed animals. The eels are still around and are living attractions of Cagubatan.
